After talking with tons of women about their weight loss journeys, we’ve realized that most of them have the exact same approach to weight loss. And this leads them to all make the same mistakes, making it quite difficult to lose belly fat.

Why you are not losing belly fat

With the internet full on misleading information, it’s really no surprise that so many women make the same mistakes when trying to lose belly fat.

Have you been struggling to lose belly fat? I bet you are making one of these mistakes as well. Luckily, you can save yourself the time and not make the same mistakes many women are making. Keep on for the most common reasons why women struggle to lose belly fat.

5 Reasons Why You Are Struggling To Lose Belly Fat:

#1 Focusing on exercise rather than diet

You want to lose weight, so you are exercising a lot. You are really giving it all you got and working up a sweat on the daily, but still, there are no results.

This is like cleaning a puddle of water on the floor every day, but not fixing the main problem – the hole in the roof. So you can successfully clean it every day, but tomorrow it will still be there. The same goes with weight loss. Yes, you are burning fat, but you’re probably putting it back that same day.

Instead, let’s begin your weight loss journey from the other end. Why are you overweight? Well, here’s a wild guess, probably, because you have been eating unhealthy and most likely too much food, right? Remember – your diet is 80% of your success and exercise is the rest 20%. Believe it or not – you CAN lose weight without exercising – trust me on this!

#2  Looking for quick results

Everybody wants quick results, especially in weight loss, it’s just the way of life. Let’s say you want to lose weight, what do you do? You google your butt off searching for the best diet out there and eventually end up choosing between “Magic weight loss pill to lose 10 lbs in 2 days” or “Drink this every day and you will lose 5 pounds/day”. And, honestly, the more you are Google, the more of these “diet” guides you find.

Everything would be great if only they worked. Sadly, fat loss doesn’t work that way. Let me open your eyes here – all of these “transformation guides” are a big pile of poop, not to mention a waste of money.  Plus, they influence our weight loss results in a BAD way!

How do they influence our weight loss results? Here’s how – all these fake articles that are written just to earn money even if that means lying, lead us to create overrated goals and expectations in our minds (like losing 30 pounds in a week), and then when we don’t achieve them, we feel demotivated and eventually fall apart.

As you can see, this is a very big problem when in weight loss and I could go on and on about it. But that’s not what this post is about. So moving on to the next reason why you are struggling to lose belly fat.

#3 Not eating enough

“I’m on a diet, I’ve been eating nothing but salads for two weeks and I’m not losing weight, is there something wrong with me?” This is a quite frequent situation for women. And all we can say about this is – these women are making a HUGE MISTAKE!

If you want to lose weight you must have a balanced diet and be in a small (I emphasize, SMALL) calorie deficit (10-20% deficit).

If you are not eating enough, your body feels shocked, so it slows down your metabolism in order to survive.  Most of our female clients start their weight loss journeys from ~2000 calories per day and their results are stunning. But remember – daily calories is a VERY individual thing, this doesn’t necessarily mean you should be eating ~2000 calories to lose weight.

Our advice – eat nutritious food, have a balanced diet, be in a slight calorie deficit for a long enough time and you will be ok. And by ok we mean – you will SHED fat.

#4 Exercising incorrectly

When you are planning to go to the gym to lose weight, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Let me guess – running! Was I right? Every day in the gym I see people who want to lose fat and spend all of their time running. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against running, it’s a great form of activity. But not necessarily for weight loss.

Can you burn fat while running? Yes, you can. But is it actually the best way to burn fat? In my opinion – no, it is not and here’s why. Running (for most of us) is moderate to high-intensity training and during this kind of training our body uses glucose as the main energy source. During low-intensity training, on the other hand, our body uses FAT as the main energy source.

We want to use fat as the main energy source, right? So we should do low-intensity training (for example -fast walking), rather than high-intensity training (running). Oh, I almost forgot to say that running is a killer for your joints and in some cases for your heart too. Bottom line – you really shouldn’t run if you are overweight.

But how do you measure your training intensity? With your heart rate, or in other words, how many times your heart beats in one minute. The harder you train – the harder your heart beats, the harder your heart beats the higher intensity is. It’s quite simple, huh?

#5 You don’t have a step-by-step plan

Last but certainly not least in out list of reasons why you are struggling to lose belly fat is that you don’t have a plan.

Weight loss is a long process and it should be planned ahead of time. A plan helps you to stay on track, measure your results and avoid weight loss plateaus. When you have a plan, you just need to stick to it.

Can you build a house without a sketch? Sure, you can! But how it will look like? How many mistakes will you make in the process? How much time will you spend building it? A plan is a huge time and effort saver.

Everything is easier with a plan!  The main condition – the plan should be made by a professional. By a person who really knows how to plan weight loss (what would your house look like if it were designed by a person who knows nothing about architecture?).

Yes, a good plan will cost you money. But, trust us, it’s really worth it. Why lose weight for 3 months if you could do it in, let’s say, a couple weeks?

With the 15 Day Di.et Plan you can do just that – lose up to 15 pounds of body fat in nearly two weeks!
