But now that I know a lot of the ins and outs of weight loss, I would like to share a few very small changes to lose weight naturally.

Here we go, 10 small changes to lose weight naturally:

1. Quit the sugar

I know, probably all of us have a sweet tooth and unbelievable sugar cravings every once in a while. And many people tend to think that just a few pieces of chocolate won’t hurt while trying to lose weight. WRONG.

If you continue to satisfy your sugar cravings with junk food, you likely won’t get too far in your natural weight loss journey.

So, I hate to brake it to you, but you’re going to have to quit the sugar while trying to lose weight!

Steer clear for all the products containing tons of sugar. Also, keep in mind that many products can be deceiving. What you may think is a healthy snack could really be causing you weight gain rather than weight loss.

But don’t worry, there are always alternative healthy snacks that won’t cause weight gain! There are hundreds of different products with natural sweeteners nowadays. They have zero sugar but still satisfy your cravings which is great while losing weight!

2. Always go shopping with a list

Most people go to the store and pack their carts with tons of unhealthy products they weren’t even planning on buying.

And it’s very hard to resist all those cookies and chips on sale when you don’t even have a precise list of the products you need. Not to mention, if you go to the grocery store hungry we all know what happens…

Therefore, if your goal is natural weight loss, it’s very important to bring a list of healthy snacks and products to the grocery store! This way, it’s much easier to resist all those unnecessary products.

3. Become a tea person

Number 3 in our list of small changes to lose weight naturally is drink tea. This may seem a bit silly. But actually, green tea is absolutely great for weight loss! It is full of antioxidants, boosts your metabolism, gives you more energy, and even improves your workouts which leads to a fat burning effect!

All this just from a warm, delicious, calorie-free drink! Sounds like a pretty good deal to start drinking green tea, right? Personally, once I started drinking green tea regularly, I’ve definitely noticed it’s great effects on my well-being!

5. Eat more green vegetables

Another one of the small changes to lose weight naturally is…green vegetables! They are awesome for weight loss! Most of them have close to zero calories but tons of vitamins and minerals! And they will fill you up and reduce your appetite, too!

Take kale for example. It has vitamins A, C, K, fiber, minerals, such as calcium and potassium. And a whole cup of kale barely has 35 calories! Doesn’t that sound unbelievable?

Now you might be thinking, what about fruits? You thought you should include both fruits and vegetables to your diet, right? WRONG. Don’t get me wrong here, fruits are healthy and all, but when it comes to weight loss – you should really limit your fruit intake. Fruits are sugar after all…

However, you should definitely add green vegetables to your weight loss diet. And next time you feel hungry but it isn’t time for your meal – just have a salad – it makes for a great healthy snack!

6. Get enough sleep

Sleep is actually a very important part of weight loss. Getting enough sleep every night helps keep your metabolism and energy levels stable and also keeps you emotionally motivated!

Not to mention, sleep also affects your cortisol (stress hormone) levels, which increase your appetite and may lead to weight gain and sabotage your blood sugar levels. Basically, the more sleep deprived you are – the higher your cortisol levels and the hungrier you are.

This way you will have everything ready and won’t end up at a fast food restaurant searching for a quick snack!

10. Eat more often but have smaller portions

Las but not least on our list of small changes to lose weight naturally is eating more often. Many people tend to think eating 2-3 times a day is enough. For some, maybe it is. However for weight loss (unless you are on some specific weight loss diet created by a specialist), it would be best to eat about 4-6 times a day every few hours.

This way, you won’t become super hungry in between meals which will keep you from bad eating decisions. Plus, you will be less likely to overeat because your portions will be smaller!
